Happy
Friday started as a weekly e-mail that kept literally tens of people
amused during the second half of the '90s and the first half of this decade.
It's survived several cancellations, far too many OJ Simpson jokes, its
writer's seeming inability to have more than four jokes going in any one
week, and, of course, the jump from e-mail to web page. With nine years
of classic material to choose from, it's only natural that we start off
the archives with the Happy Friday editions that first appeared
right here in the Treetop Lounge. Okay, so maybe that doesn't sound
quite so natural to you, but it makes perfect sense to me because all the
new Happy Fridays are already coded as web pages and the other
eight years of crap is one long list of e-mails spread out over 3 different
computers. And besides, there's already a secret evil plan for those old
Happy Fridays that can't be revealed until the 10th Anniversary
in 2005, so for now enjoy this peek into the very recent past, with perhaps
occasional glimpses at the old stuff. You'll have to keep checking back
to see what surprises await. (Of course, a Happy Friday with more
than three laughs in it might be surprise enough for you.) So choose something
from the menu below, and have a Happy Friday!
